Mastri Birrai Umbri Triumphs in New York

At the New York International Beer Competition a major international event, Mastri Birrai Umbri was judged “Italian Brewery of the year for 2017” , being the 2017 Gold Winner with its Cotta 37 Birra Speciale Rossa, the 2017 Silver Winner with its Cotta 21 Birra Speciale Bionda, and the 2017 Bronze Winner with its Cotta 50 Birra Speciale Bianca.

The New York International Beer Competition is where beers from all over the world are voted by a jury composed exclusively of experts, the most influential in the global beer industry. Brainchild of the famous Adam Levy, better known as “Alcohol Professor”, also founder of the successful New York International Spirits Competition and the New York International Wine Competition, this competition judges beers in terms of appearance, aroma, flavour, sensation in the mouth and after taste. The judges also take prices into account in their assessments. Having chosen a short list of finalists, the judges award Bronze to beers they will buy, Silver to those appreciated a lot and Gold to those they simply… loved.

Deep satisfaction then for everyone at our Mastri Birrai Umbri and an endorsement of the fact that our Umbrian craft beers are truly world level.
